Event at Colonial United Church of Christ in Prairie Village
A year and a half ago, Colonial United Church of Christ in Prairie Village voted to become an open and affirming designated UCC church. They periodically sponsor events and educational opportunities Anyone is welcome to attend the documentary viewing and discussion coming up on Feb. 8th.

Colonial UCC Church in Prairie Village (7039 Mission Rd.) will host a viewing of the documentary, "Call Me Malcom" on Feb. 8th at 11:15 following the 10:00 worship service. The event, which will be in the social hall, will feature the documentary of Malcolm’s journey of discovery that offers a glimpse into the lives of real people who are transgendered. Malcom, a United Church of Christ minister, tells his story and travels across the US visiting with people with various perspectives about identity, faith, and love. The shame and fear associated with transgender is overcome by grace, compassion, and knowledge. Soup and pizza will be served; free will offering for the lunch. Child care provided.
